GEORGINA CAPRISTO-GAJDOSIK

Visual Music Ink™ President Georgina Capristo-Gajdosik holds a BS in Communications, Cum Laude from the University of New Haven.  She has worked in various areas of media creation, production and promotion since 1985. It was at CRN International, a radio promotions and marketing company where she honed and perfected her marketing and creative abilities, managing the creative production, promotion and trade elements of profitable media campaigns for brand giants Dial Soap, Hormel Foods and Campbell’s Soup.

Ms. Gajdosik entered the film industry in 1998, working in the capacity of location manager and scout and writing screenplays.   In 2003, she produced an original short film entitled Loved, alone (under the Dark Cloud Productions banner.) With Beth Winslet in her first leading role and featuring UK television star Alexis Conran, Loved, Alone premiered at the Los Angeles International Shorts Festival and at Film Fest New Haven, enjoying a weekend opening on both coasts. Georgina then convinced independent theater owners to screen her 35mm film before first-run hits like the Oscar nominated Frida, abandoning the traditional Festival route for a more direct approach. Loved, alone eventually landed with Sky TV in the United Kingdom, where it caught the attention of distributors. The short film still makes an occasional appearance at local screenings. It can also be viewed via http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0436525/

Working closely on Loved, alone with BBC Studios director Indra Bhose and Cinematographer Paul Gavin, Georgina furthered a desire to produce one of her original features. (Make me) Blush’s early accolades as a semi-finalist in the Writer’s Network Fiction and Screenplay Competition encouraged her to develop her story, the perfect vehicle to launch her Visual Music Ink brand.
